ARCON GROUP UPDATES
  Current Projects:

Officials held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday September 10th, 2015 for the College Street project to mark what local officials see as a major win for the city because it would put more than 100 new residents within walking distance of downtown area shops, restaurants, arts and music venues, and other amenities, such as Russell Library.

  Arcon In The Community:

Selinsgrove AirportThe 2015 Penn Valley Airport Airshow was held on Saturday September 19th. It was a fantastic day in the sun. Bruce Witkop chairman of the Penn Valley Airport said "It was a great opportunity for people to embrace aviation, to look at the history of our military aircraft and learn about flying and the ability and joys of flying." The airshow was free to attend being sponsored by donations. Arcon Group donated it's property and Boy Scout Troop 441 from Kratzerville was on-hand to park over 1,100 cars. In addition to raising funds for the airport, the Boy Scouts also raised over $5,000. The event also featured a car show sponsored by Susquehanna Valley CARTS, historical re-enactors and food vendors. [2015 Airshow Pictures »]

Arcon Raises Money for Scholarship Fund:
District 8 Building Officials Golf Outing

Arcon Group, Inc. was a proud sponsor of the Putting Green and Putting Contest at the annual District 8 Building Officials Golf Outing held in late September. The Fairfield County Building Officials use this event to raise money for the scholarship fund. This years putting contest prize was a 55" flat screen TV. The prize was awarded following an exciting "putt-off" at the conclusion of the days event, as we had 2 individuals make the putt during the course of the day. The putting contest also raised $2,000.00 for the District 8 Building Officials Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded at the Annual Holiday party to students that are pursuing a career in Architecture. "Arcon is pleased to be part of this fund raising event," stated Bud Miller, Arcon President. This is the fifth year that Arcon has participated.

  Profile:

Northeast Collaborative Architects

NCAFor more than 30 years, Northeast Collaborative Architects (NCA) has built a reputation for delivering quality, innovative and award winning projects. According to John Scheib, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCA is a full-service architectural firm specializing in new designs, restorations, and adaptive reuse with a special interest in cultural, municipal, hospitality, education and residential sectors.

NCA is currently working on the College Street project in Middletown, CT with Arcon Group. Scheib had previous experience with modular nearly 15 years ago, and has high expectations for the project in Middletown. "Modular is a good fit for this project," said Scheib. "I've had a great feeling about Arcon Group and their modular solution since our very first meeting. The key to any project is good communication, and that is one thing that Bud Miller and the entire Arcon team bring to the table - that and their past experience."

Scheib also commented on the flexibility in design. "Sometimes the perception of modular is 'cookie-cutter,' but with Arcon it's anything but." The College Street project calls for high-end finishes such as granite tops, hardwood flooring and 9-foot ceilings. According to Scheib, "Arcon has been able to provide the finishes necessary to achieve the quality our clients demand."

NCA will be working closely with Arcon throughout the manufacturing and onsite finish of College Street, including visits to the Arcon manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania. "It's one of the true benefits of modular," stated Scheib. "The ability to touch and feel a finished unit at the end of the production line, gives us the entire team a great handle on overall quality standards for the project."

NCA employs more than 30 and has offices in Middletown, CT, Newport and Providence, RI and Washington, DC. For more information on NCA, visit them online at www.ncarchitects.com.

From design, manufacturing, transportation, installation and even onsite finish. We discuss every aspect of the process.
